Dear Friend(s) in Christ,
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of the Father, and the fellowship of the Spirit be with you all. With these words of blessing we welcome you to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. In the parish community's name I am pleased to invite you to share in our life and ministry. At the same time we offer you the gifts which are ours in the parish.
At the center of our parish life is the Sunday Eucharist, which is the opportunity to encounter the Lord in Word and Sacrament. It is here where we see who we are and where we begin to be more the Body of Christ. Within our various ministries, we look to pass on the faith which we have received. This tradition is the heritage of all, the young, the old, and everyone in between. Mission is the third dimension of our life, where we can share our goods and time with those in need in our local area.
Founded in 1972, Christ the Redeemer has continued to grow. Our blessed growth was given physical shape in February 2000 as we dedicated our new Church and the new Chapel of our Lady of Guadalupe. Our worship overflows into our Pastoral Center where the faith is shared and the local community is served. Our Atonement Hall serves our educational and social needs.
The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement have served the parish since the beginning. Along with the Friars, our office, relgious education and liturgy staffs stand ready to serve you. The parish is more than its staff. It is it's parishioners. For our continued dynamic ministry at Christ the Redeemer, we depend on you as a minister, as a regular contributor to the Sunday collection, as a supporter of all of our programs. All of us at Christ the Redeemer welcome you to minister in the parish community. Your faith, your prayer and shared financial commitment are essential to the vibrancy of the parish.
Peace and good things to you and your family.
Rev. Patrick Cogan, SA, JCD
