I will be away on personal retreat from Feb 7-12, along with 23 other priests from the Diocese of Arlington. Please pray for us all that we may truly continue to grow in holiness and union with our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. Here is one of my all time favorite prayers. It is the prayer to the Holy Spirit by St. Augustine. "Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, That my thoughts may all be holy. Act in me, O Holy Spirit, That my work, too, may be holy. Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, That I love but what is holy. Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, To defend all that is holy. Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, That I always may be holy." .............................................................................................................................................................
