Many of you know that I have a huge devotion to the holy Angels, the spiritual persons created to assist in the divine plan. Today we celebrate three specific angels from the choir of the Archangels. There are three archangels named in sacred scripture who carried out specific messages in salvation History. Today is the feast day of St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael. Raphael appeared to Tobias in the book of Tobit. His names means "Remedy or Medicine of God". He is considered the great healer. Gabriel appeared to Mary and announced to her the Birth of Jesus. Gabriel means "strength of God". Michael we hear of in Daniel and in Revelation as the great angel who cast Satan out of Heaven. Michael means "one who is like God". These three saintly Angels are celebrated because they are the only Angels who names have been revealed to us in Sacred Scripture and because of the major role each of them plays in salvation history. ............................................................................................................................................................. Hoy celebramos a tres ángeles específicos del coro de los Arcángeles. Hay tres arcángeles nombrados en las Sagradas Escrituras que llevaron a cabo mensajes específicos en la Historia de la salvación. Hoy es la fiesta de San Miguel, San Gabriel y San Rafael. Rafael se apareció a Tobías en el libro de Tobías. Su nombre significa "Remedio o Medicina de Dios". Se le considera el gran sanador. Gabriel se apareció a María y le anunció el nacimiento de Jesús. Gabriel significa "fuerza de Dios". Se habla de Miguel en el libro de Daniel y en Apocalipsis como el gran ángel que echó a Satanás del cielo. Miguel significa "uno que es como Dios". Estos tres ángeles santos son celebrados porque son los únicos ángeles cuyos nombres nos han sido revelados en la Sagrada Escritura y por el papel principal que cada uno de ellos juega en la historia de la salvación.
