Today's Gospel gives me the impression that Jesus did not get along well with scribes and the Pharisees. Woe to you... woe to you.. woe to you... He calls them hypocrites, blind guides and fools. When Jesus speaks this way He is not simply being mean nor is He letting off frustration. Jesus is speaking the truth. he is diagnosing them and trying to hold up a mirror to them so that they might see the errors of their ways. In addition Jesus is trying out of justice to reveal who they are to His disciples that they may not imitate them. I wish each time I called someone a name my reasons were as noble! .............................................................................................................................................................
