Remember what the Lord has done. At times life can be overwhelming. We see all that is before us and around us, but how quickly we forget the works of the Lord. In today's 1st reading, God is reminding His people, all that He has done for them. "I brought your father Abraham ... and led him ... I made his descendants numerous ... sent Moses and Aaron, and smote Egypt ... I led you out of Egypt ... I brought you into the land of the Amorites ... I delivered them into your power ... I destroyed them ... I would not listen to Balaam, on the contrary I saved you from him ... the men of Jericho fought against you, but I delivered them also into your power ... I sent the hornets ahead of you that drove them out of your way ... I gave you a land that you had not tilled and cities that you had not built ..." The message for us is that we must remember what the Lord has done for us. How he has blessed us, protected us, defended us, and loved us. We must respond to this action from God with action of our own. We are called to serve God, to Love him who has loved us so perfectly and dealt with us so generously. We are to trust Him. He has taken care of us in the past and He continues to take care of us now. Remembering all the Lord has done brings us hope! .............................................................................................................................................................
