As a priest on of the things that I have done for many years during Holy Week, is to spend time meditating upon and looking over the upcoming liturgies for the Triduum, the 3 most holiest days of the year. On Monday of Holy Week I meditate upon the Mass of the Lord's Supper, the liturgy we celebrate on Holy Thursday. On Tuesday, I will meditate upon the Solemn Celebration of the Lord's Passion and upon the Veneration of the Cross which we celebrate on Good Friday. Finally on Wednesday, I spend the day meditating upon the Easter Vigil, the most beautiful of all liturgies of the Church which we celebrate on Holy Saturday. By doing so, not only am I well prepared for this important and beautiful mysteries but I also have helped to remain focused throughout the entire Holy Week on the passion, Death and Resurrection of our Lord. Years ago, I even wrote mysteries of the rosary for Holy Week that help me to reflect and pray upon these important events specifically. El lunes de la Semana Santa medito en la Misa de la Cena del Señor, liturgia que celebramos el Jueves Santo. El martes meditaré sobre la Celebración Solemne de la Pasión del Señor y sobre la Veneración de la Cruz que celebramos el Viernes Santo. Finalmente, el miércoles paso el día meditando sobre la Vigilia Pascual, la más hermosa de todas las liturgias de la Iglesia que celebramos el Sábado Santo. Al hacerlo, no solo estoy bien preparado para estos importantes y hermosos misterios, sino que también he ayudado a permanecer enfocado durante toda la Semana Santa en la pasión, muerte y resurrección de nuestro Señor.
