In order to maintain a safe environment for our parish children and youth, Arlington Diocese requires us to implement the Formation in Christian Chastity Program for Grades 1-8 and the Called to Protect Program for our Sunday Youth.
The Formation in Christian Chastity Program
will be held Oct. 17 & Oct. 24 for Monday Classes in 2016
Called to Protect
will be held on Nov. 6 for Sunday Classes in 2016
In the lower grades, the Formation in Christian Chasity Program mostly consists of take home materials for the parents to review. Certain Grades, including Grades 7&8 have in-class components taught by the catechists. High School Classes watch a series of videos and participate in a guided instructional question and answer session.
Full information about these programs is available on the Arlington Diocese Website under Child Safety Training. Parents should read this information and if they wish to opt-out, they can use the opt-out form available on the diocesan website, or use the link on this page, or stop by the RE Office for a form.
For Grades 7-12, if you choose to use the opt-out form you must return this form to Jay Cuasay, Director of Christian Formation or to your child's catechist at least 1-week before the scheduled class(es). Your child still comes to class that day, but will be placed in a separate class room for a different activity.
